Hot Air Engine
2 Prob., must run car for at least 20 min.,when engine warms will not blow anything but hot air. AC works.?
1999 Ford Explorer, 4 WD, Sport Package. Two problems, I think.
1. If you drive the vehicle before it warms, it will never get warm. Have already replaced the thermostat.
2. After engine is warm, will not blow anything but hot air, no matter what temp. dial is set at. Turn the AC on, and it takes approx. 45-50 seconds for air to turn cool.
Advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
You need a diagnostic!!! If there is a Tuffy in your town, they do them for free. It may be the water pump or heater core. If you have problems with overheating, and low coolant, it may be one of those.
